Let me tell you, it was awesome. Especially when you go with such "experienced" friends. Dana and Matt had everything that we could think of and we came so unprepared. We were amazed on how they remembered every little thing including tents, sleeping bags, food, flashlights, shovels, pots and pans, wash clothes, and etc., while in the mean time, we brought the clothes on our back (we were literally throwing things in the back of our truck). We actually agreed to have someone to look at the house at 5:30 with the next day being an open house, we didn't leave the house until 5:45. I know.. so rude.
We probably didn't end up getting there until 7:30 at night.
The next day started out as beautiful with a delicious breakfast (btw, Dana is the best cook we know)...
Tatum wouldn't touch any food on the ground that would land on dirt, until, he knew it was Dana's. I'm telling you guys, she's like superwoman.
Then it started to rain, so the boys set-up the canopy and we played Uker as we waited for the rain to clear.
After the rain, we got into the truck and drove a couple miles and found this breathtaking view.
By the time we got back from our little drive, the clouds took over and we thought it was going to rain again. So instead of getting caught again, we made lunch and started breaking down the tents.
Camping was wonderful. Loved being in the wild, well, except for not having a bathroom to use and having to pee in the wild! Hahaha, tmi. And we do hope to be like our friends, Matt and Dana one day. Not only are they awesome, but they always have everything so prepared (parties, camping (totes of supplies), hunting, etc). Thanks you guys, we couldn't do it without you! :)
