Boys will Play

Enjoying Trav's new "toy"

Here Comes Trouble!

Toby: "Mom, why are you looking at me and laughing? I wasn't doing anything that I wasn't supposed to be doing, I swear."

Tatum: "Get this off Tobs, Mom's going to notice we were in the cat food."
Toby: "Oops, I think she already did."

Priceless. I love these dogs.

The other day I came home a little early since I wasn't feeling too well. Trav let me sleep and then surprised me with this:

There are benefits when you are dating a nurse. :) He's my favorite husband to be ever!! <3

P.S. He must have knew what I needed, because the next day I was feeling MUUCCCHHHH better :) :) :)

Good Read: Heaven is for Real

Wow. This book is inspiring!

The book is about a little boy named Colton. He gets deathly ill at a very young age. After getting released from the hospital, he tells his parents certain things about God, Jesus, heaven, people he met in heaven, what they were like, the future, etc.

The book brought me to tears (happy tears it is). In my personal opinion, it was a little slow (I thought the father seemed to talk a lot about himself) until  about Chapter 4 where you'll probably get hooked and you won't be able to put it down! It gives you a new prespective on life because it's just so uplifting.

It was a little slow in the beginning (but I suppose all books have to do that at first since they have to introduce characters, the setting, etc). Also, it was an easy read, which I love!

Let me know if you read it and what you think! :)

Dad-in-law's Bday

These are the crazy pictures I got from my going to be dad-in-law that showed how much fun he had on his birthday:

He went down to the pool to meet with all of his friends (and although he didn't tell them anything about his birthday was that day), they all suprised him with a happy birthday wish and asked if he was ready for his birthday present.

The next thing he knows, he sees his friend David, dressed up like a girl, walking up to him. David gathered some of his wife, wife's friends clothes to put together quite an assemble.

I think David looks great! LOL! He even put balloons in the bra and wore lepoard print high heels! I'm just sad I missed all the fun!

Hopefully you got of a good of a laugh as I did.

Wedding Planning is in Full Force!

I am *finally* starting to feel so much better about our upcoming wedding. For the past two weeks in Indiana I have accomplished:

Found a Wedding Cake (with the yummy cake tastings!):

Found the most beautiful color of red for the wedding and bridesmaid dresses:

Found the girls gorgeous bridesmaid dresses:
*Not all the girls were pictured although they were all there*
Maybe found the flower girl's dress? (Still want to look online):

Found some of the most beautiful flowers to put in the girls' bouquet:

Found our pastor and we now have a Plan B in case it begins to rain:

Booked our photographer who is as sweet as can be:

*I think we found our caterer (but I'm not 100% sure)

*Checked out the barn twice
*Checked out the cabin where Trav and I will be staying our wedding night ;)
*Checked out the hotel that our guests will be staying
*Checked out a possible rehersal dinner site
*Got estimates on flowers, but maybe we'll order flowers from online?
*Thinking about getting a DJ - but I think we are going to use our own Ipod

Yay :)

2012 New Years Resolutions

I'm excited to say that my goals for 2011 were:

1.) Take lots of pictures.
2.) Make a budget. (We made a budget - we just didn't actually follow it. However, we saved for some of our wedding and it's pretty exciting when we can pay for some things up front and not have to worry about it later, so I'm counting it!)
3.) Eat healthy.
4.) Get a job.
5.) Volunteer.

Things actually got accomplished! Woo hoo!! Now... hopefully I can say the same for 2012. 2012 - I'm ready for a new start!

That being said, one of my top goals is to gain confidence. I feel like I left my confidence somewhere in Indiana when I left. I found myself to be very shy and anti-social. I had that fear in high school, but once I entered college, I feel as though that changed. Not knowing anyone in Arizona and entering into a different culture made me scared to face new things. Which I shouldn't be - I should want to face them!

In addition, I have discovered that being as anti-social as I was, that I was depressed. I used to sit around at home all day and do nothing. Although sometimes I do admit that I sometimes like to sit around all day in my pjs (as I am today) because I need a little break, but I need to go out and do more.

As silly as this sounds, I feel like something as small as not having a tan anymore, makes me think that my cutiness got away from me. I miss being tan & hate the way I look in photos and etc. I don't know why, but I felt like going to the tanning bed was just so relaxing and it'd give me a can-do attitude to face people. I think because I have lost my tan, it made me lose my spunk along with my confidence and I just let myself go. I don't even do my hair/make-up, don't wear jewerely, and I def. don't dress up. I feel as though I haven't been much of a "girly-girl" that I used to be. This year I need to play dress-up, cook, clean, and read like all the other girls that I know (and they actually enjoy it!) as much as I thought I would have. But maybe, I just need to get up and do this stuff. Then maybe  I would feel better?

So, because I rambled, here is my goals in short for 2012:

1.) Be happy
2.) Be confident & love myself
3.) Be healthy
4.) Play dress up more
5.) Spice up my life with new adventures (including little things like cooking and diy projects - hence the new tabs. I'm going to try to put up a new recipe, book review, diy project in, and maybe throw in a fashion specutlar once in a blue moon!)

2012 here we come! Happy New Year!

What are you new year resolutions?

Merry Bowwow Christmas/Happy New Years

Forgot to show you the Christmas pictures we got of our foster dogs that we took care of now in their forever homes.

Sinbad now "George"

 Dougy now "Kody"

This is one thing that I love about fostering. We keep in touch and are friends with the owners, and get to have house visits! :) Aren't they sooo cute??
