A Much Needed Gift to Myself

As I sit here writing this post, sipping on some peppermint hot chocolate, I'm excited to tell you about my newest and greatest present (that I got for myself).

A very much needed wedding planning book. I've already had those feels-like-real-life wedding dreams where (get this) we had nothing ready (a pastor, our cake, a photographer... etc). Those dreams gave me the chills where I would wake up with the sweats. But with having this to organize my thoughts and have checklists of things that needed to be done makes me feel so much more organized about this whole process.

Trav and I are pretty excited about our wedding. The other day I came home and found that Trav has already started a play list for our wedding. (How cute, right?) Even though I was a little skeptical, I must say, he did an excellent job. We love listening to the songs and deciding if we should play them during what time. We're wondering if we should have a DJ or not. But whichever we decide to do, we have a mix of different songs to get the party started.

My first task that I want to do is ask the girls to be my bridesmaids. I'm pretty sure they already know that they are going to be in the wedding, but I want them to feel special. So I'm pondering what to do, but I think I have somewhat of an idea... :)

P.S. I love my new $1 nail polish that I picked up a Phoenix flea market. Although it costed a $1.50 per person to get in, I think we did alright. I really wanted to find red boots to wear underneath my dress, but most cowboy boots were men's with no red in sight. :( But cool finds: a magazine rack, fresh pineapple (incredible), and some awesome different color nail polish of course.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

24 Hour Prayer

Our church is taking part of a 24 hour prayer.

Today, Trav and I took part (along with our study group). We went through 10 different stations and prayed for different things such about taming our tounges, loving our neighbors, the storms in our lives, what direction we want to be in, how to get involved within the church, and so on. Each station had different things (such as placing something you wrote on a cross, writing down your values) and whatnot to help you think.

I really wanted God to speak to me. I need direction. I have no idea where I am supposed to be in life, especially about my carrer path. Should I go back to school? (I am thinking about pursuing becoming a nurse), but I also like the idea of being a social worker or even getting my masters in psychology). And what about marraige? We should be married already (we do live together), but we're not, and I don't feel like we're really rushing the subject. Also, what am I supposed to do in my life? What's my path? Why am I even on this earth?

I feel stuck. Stuck and not being able to move in any direction. Does anyone ever feel that way? I just want to be told where to go and I will follow. Or maybe I'm not listening?

P.S. Thanks for your prayers about my mom. She doesn't have cancer.

Vegas BABY!

Trav and I were able to go to see my aunt and uncle this weekend in viva Las Vegas. It was fun, although I don't think we would be able to handle more than a day or two (everything is so expensive).  Everyone says it's a boring drive from Phoenix to Las Vegas, but I thought it was really pretty. I also heard the whole part of Vegas is better than the newer part, so next time we go, we may have to check that part out as well.

On our way home:

Thank you Meggie and Marty for being so awesome! Miss you already. xoxoxoxo.

P.S. By the way, yes, Trav is wearing a girl's sweater. We forgot sweaters, so one of the girls offered him her "Buckeyes" sweater, so he wore it and got some strange looks. LOL.
