Gobble Weekend!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and that all of all you lovlies had your tummies full of good food and great company!

My weekend consisted of:
Good times!
Wed:
Trav's friends, Dan, came into town. We made a beer butt chicken for din-din. Has anyone had this before? I highly suggest it! It was finger-lickin' good :)

Before it was cooked

Turkey Day

Trav's mother and brother came into town. Trav and I made our first Thanksgiving dinner and we did it together without stressing too much. Dinner was pretty delicious and consisted of: turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, MASSIVE rolls, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. For the first time for both of us making a Thanksgiving dinner, it turned out yummy. *Applause*

After dinner, we were completely worn out (including Tatum) and just enjoyed each others company.

We finally got our pool fixed in the morning $850 later. Afterwards, we all went to the ASU game. ASU was favored to lose against ULCA, but proved everyone wrong (hahaha). It was the best football game I have been to so far (considering I haven't been to a OSU game yet!) There is always something about being at football games - maybe it's the fans cheering and booing, the fire crackers, getting overpriced food and drinks, and watching the football players and listening to the band play. Football games are always a lot of fun.

That night, we sat by the fire and made smores. I even made the Brownie recipe and made it ala mode. Who is counting with all those calories anyways, right? Haha. Plus, I secretly wanted to get everyone fat *insert evil laugh here*.

Sat: We woke up bright and early to watch the rivarly of OSU and Michigan. The Buckeyes blew Michigan away.

The boys put up the Christmas lights, while Trav's mom and I put up the Christmas decorations up inside of the house.

Later that night, we went to a well-known German restaurant. This is where the waitress' dress up in cute little German outfits (the waiters look cute too!) and serve us delicious food. Our table was outside, but right next to the space heater (thank goodness, because it was freezing!) When the waitress came to serve us our food, her dress actually got so close to the space heater that her dress caught on fire. Scariest.thing.ever....!

We all started patting her down until the fire went out, while the rest of the restaurant just stared at us. She wasn't even freaking out (she must of have been a brave soul!) and afterwards the side of her skirt was almost completely missing. She then showed us scars of what has happened to her for the last two years of working there. Um, do you get hazard pay?! AND her manager made her wear that dress for the rest of the night! Um, I would think, if your dress catches on fire, you automatically get to go home. Apparently, not there.

While we were in town, we also checked out the Christmas lights to see how our Christmas lights compared. I can finally offically say, after seeing the lights that I am in the Christmas spirit. I didn't know if it would be possible here since there is no snow.

Sun:
We took the family back to the airport bright and early and said our goodbyes *tear*. We then headed over to our friends house and had breakfast and came home to pass out.

All in all, I could not ask for a better weekend ")

What did you for Turkey weekend?
